This started as a sketch on a sheet of paper: a curved deck along the house, room to sit, and easy steps down to the garden path.
Most decks are rectangles. This one is round, and that's the kind of job custom deck builders are for: we framed it to the drawing, and the main platform ends in a true semicircle, which takes curved framing and boards cut one by one to follow the arc. On top, about 200 sq ft of Eva-Last Infinity in Oasis Palm, with matching steps at each entry.
We also built composite benches from the same boards, so everything reads as one piece: some with backrests for lounging, some without, for extra seating or setting down a drink. That's what turned a small platform into a cozy place to sit. Small as it is, the deck is now the best-looking spot in the backyard.
Have a sketch on a sheet of paper? That's how this one started.
