Most of what we do in Montara is deck construction and full replacement, with the stairs and railings that come with them. We are a deck specialist, not a general contractor who also does decks.
Work is done by the same crew from start to finish under a written contract — not sold on to an unrelated deck company once the paperwork is signed.
Deck permits here are issued by County of San Mateo. Under the state code a deck needs one unless it meets four conditions, explained in do you need a permit for a deck.
