The old second-story deck had done its time. We took it down and built a new elevated deck in its place, with a new staircase down to a yard that slopes away from the house.
This one went through the full deck building permit process: approved plans, then every required inspection. The structure is all new, from concrete footings and braced posts to the beams and joists.
457 sq ft of Trex Signature decking in Ocracoke with hidden Hideaway fasteners, Trex Signature fascia, and 82 linear feet of black Trex Signature railing with mesh panels. The mesh keeps the view open while the rail stays solid, on the deck and all the way down the stairs.
