What a Trex deck costs with us

On level ground, a new composite deck runs about $50 to $75 per sq ft. Replacing an old deck runs about $50 to $80 per sq ft, and that includes tearing out the old one; delivery and hauling it away are quoted separately. A slope, a raised deck or a yard that is hard to get to raises the price and the minimum size, and the calculator shows what that means for yours. We build composite decks from 150 sq ft.
These are planning numbers. The written estimate comes after Mike, the owner, walks the site, and it's a fixed price for the written scope.

If your old wood deck is worn out, we can replace it with Trex. We check the footings and framing first, because new boards on a tired frame don't last. Joists for Trex go 16" on center for straight boards, the spacing Trex requires.
About the Trex warranty
Trex Signature and Trex Transcend Lineage carry a 50-year limited residential warranty from Trex. Trex covers the boards. Our work comes with a 3-year written workmanship warranty.

Questions about hiring us for a Trex deck
How much does a Trex deck cost to build?
It depends on the size, the height and the site. Put your numbers in the calculator and you'll see a range. The written estimate comes after Mike sees the site.
How long does a Trex deck take?
Most of our decks take 7 to 21 working days on site, depending on size and the permit. The Half Moon Bay deck took 14 working days.
Do you need a permit for a Trex deck?
It depends on the city and the deck. If yours needs one, we can handle it as a separate permit management service for $2,500. The city's fees are paid separately.
Can you put Trex on my existing deck frame?
Only if the frame is sound and spaced right for Trex. We check it on the visit. If it needs to be rebuilt, that goes into the written estimate.
