“Very happy with MS Construction and the deck they built us. Very quickly installed and their guys work so hard. …”Ashley W.Thumbtack · Jul 2026 · Scotts Valley
Scotts Valley projects come to us for the usual reasons: a deck that has outlived its framing, a slope nobody wants to touch, or a house that finally deserves the outdoor room it never had.
The proposal you get after the visit is the price. It moves only with changes you approve in writing, or with conditions we genuinely could not see until the old deck came off.
Deck permits here are issued by City of Scotts Valley. Under the state code a deck needs one unless it meets four conditions, explained in do you need a permit for a deck.
“We hired MS Construction to assemble our pre fabricated pergola. They were responsive throughout the process and showed up on time. The workmanship is also good. They cleaned up after the job was complete. Overall a very professional experience.”
“We had to repair our deck for our HOA and needed it done quickly. Mike was great and quickly responded to my request. He came out quickly and gave us a quote that was reasonably priced. His team were able to come out to do the work and finished in two days! The team was professional, clean and very respectful.”
“EXCELLENT !! These guys were Polite,On-time,Professional,and the price was fair ! After seeing how beautiful it is,we underpaid !! Nieghbors are complimenting us daily as they walk their dogs in front of our house . We are sending the crew to my cousins house next.”
