What does an Eva-Last deck cost with us?

  • New deck$50–75per sq ft
  • Full replacement$50–80per sq ft

For level ground, our overall composite range is $50 to $75 per sq ft for a new deck, or $50 to $80 per sq ft for a full replacement; delivery and hauling away the old deck are quoted separately. The minimum composite deck size on level ground is 150 sq ft. These are planning ranges for composite as a category, not separate quotes for the Eva-Last lines.

Infinity sits at the lower end of composite, Apex Plus and Pioneer higher. A slope, deck height or difficult access changes the price and minimum size. Use the calculator for a planning range for your site; it does not quote each Eva-Last line separately. The exact price comes in a written estimate within 24 hours of the visit.

Replacing a wood deck with Eva-Last

We replace wood decks with Eva-Last, including the framing when the agreed project calls for a full rebuild. The Morgan Hill project page shows the work stages and the finished Infinity surface.

For a project that keeps the existing frame and changes the surface, see deck remodeling. Whether that fits your deck needs a site-specific assessment; the full-replacement range above is a different scope.

Which warranty covers what?

Eva-Last's limited residential board warranties are 30 years for Infinity and 50 years for Apex Plus and Pioneer. Their terms include conditions, exclusions and prorated recovery; they are not promises to rebuild an entire deck at no cost.

Our work has a separate 3-year written workmanship warranty. There is also a separate 1-year Eva-Last labor warranty for Eva-Last decks. These are separate coverages, not added together.

For a comparison with other decking brands, read our composite decking guide.

We replaced our entire deck this summer and expected it to be a long, messy project. MS Construction and Services made it much easier than we thought it would be. Mike and his crew demolished our old 570 sq. ft. deck and stairs, built a new pressure-treated frame, and installed Eva-Last Infinity composite decking. They also assembled our 12' x 24' aluminum pergola and anchored it on six posts. The backyard looks completely different now, and we're using it far more than before. Their lead carpenter knows deck building inside and out and was meticulous about every part of the build. It was clear he cared about getting the details right, and it shows in the finished deck. Mike was easy to reach and kept us informed. We had a detailed proposal within a couple of days of the estimate, and the final price matched the quote, with no surprise charges. For the amount of work involved, the job was done quickly. We highly recommend MS Construction and Services to anyone planning a deck project.

"There was no sales pitch. We compared three Eva-Last lines: Infinity, Apex Plus, and Pioneer. I could explain what the job needed, get a clear answer about each option, and choose Apex Plus with confidence."

I work as a general contractor, and one of the biggest parts of the job is knowing which crews you can trust with a piece of a larger project. For a residential project in the Almaden area of San Jose, I brought in MS Construction and Services for a substantial exterior scope: about 480 sq. ft. of Eva-Last Apex Plus composite decking, a roughly 250 sq. ft. pergola, and about 54 linear feet of aluminum picket railing. What I appreciated most was that our conversations felt like two contractors working through a project together. There was no sales pitch. We compared three Eva-Last lines: Infinity, Apex Plus, and Pioneer. I could explain what the job needed, get a clear answer about each option, and choose Apex Plus with confidence. The deck, pergola, and railings were separate parts of the scope, but the team kept the finished space as a whole in mind. As a general contractor, it is a real relief when I do not have to explain every detail over and over or wonder whether another crew sees the bigger picture. With Mike and MS Construction and Services, it felt like we were on the same side. Questions were handled directly, decisions were clear, and I could keep my attention on the whole job instead of watching every step of their part. This was a substantial scope, and it was genuinely satisfying to see the deck, pergola, and railings come together. The finished result felt cohesive rather than like three unrelated elements added one after another. That is what I value in a good subcontractor: a crew that takes responsibility for its work and gives the general contractor confidence that their part of the project is in dependable hands. I would recommend MS Construction and Services to homeowners and general contractors in San Jose, especially for outdoor projects that combine composite decking, a pergola, and railings.

Questions about hiring us for an Eva-Last deck

Do you install all the Eva-Last lines shown here?

Yes, we have built projects with Infinity, Apex Plus and Pioneer. The projects above show our work with each line, including the published scope and project cost.

Does the calculator give an exact price for my Eva-Last line?

No, it gives a composite planning range, not a separate price for each line. The written estimate, sent within 24 hours of the visit, sets the price for your scope.

Can I replace just the surface of my wood deck?

Deck remodeling is a separate option that keeps the frame and replaces the surface. We need to assess your deck before saying whether that scope fits; the full-replacement calculator is not a resurfacing quote.

Does the board warranty include your workmanship warranty?

No, the manufacturer's board warranty and our 3-year written workmanship warranty are separate. The separate 1-year Eva-Last labor warranty is not added to either period.

What happens after I request a visit?
